Week 2 of the season looked a lot like week 1.
L 2-8
Again, we were down 1-3 at the half, and allowed more goals in the second than the first. Moses’ injury from last week left him out again, with Viet taking his slot. Viet would score the first goal, assisted by John. Josh would tally the second goal, assisted by Ryan against the other team’s backup goalie. Joe was active this game, and inadvertently injured the other team’s goalie when they got tied up in a scoring chance. Heidi was also active this game, after missing years with several ACL problems.

I have started to play indoor soccer again as goalie for our newly reconstituted team, Yahtzee. I have decided to post the results weekly, and here is the rundown for week 1:
L 1-10
After most team members taking a year and a half off to breed, the rust was evident. We were hardly in this one at all. Star defenseman Moses went out in the first half with a sore back, and didn’t return. Swingman Josh was not 100% with a severe hangover, coming to the game late, and not logging many minutes on the field. Chris (captain) scored our lone goal in the first half, assisted by John. We entered the second half down 3-1, but ran out of gas quickly in the second.
I will try to get some pictures and/or video highlights in future weeks, so stay tuned.

Palin’s Daughter Bristol Splits From FiancĂ© – NYTimes.com.
This completes the charade. I wouldn’t pick on these poor people, but Sarah Palin said something in her campaign that struck great offense on me. “We grow good people in our small towns, with honesty, sincerity and dignity,”. I heard this, and read, “I want to be the leader of the United States, but I consider 79% of its population to be hedonistic, dishonest, insincere, undignified human beings”. Well, I guess us evil city folk don’t have the good sense and correct values to raise children like you did there in Wasilla. So to sum up:
Good = 18-year-old daughter getting pregnant while her and redneck boyfriend are in high school, drop out of high school and put into shotgun wedding arrangement so mom can try to win election, then call it off once the campaign is over to raise fatherless child.
Bad = Not being from a small town.
